Having enjoyed a successful Karting career, Dexter Patterson made his first foray into car racing during regional F4 outings in 2020, before graduating to the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship in 2021.

Patterson makes his BTCC debut with Laser Tools Racing in 2022, joining fellow Scotsman Aiden Moffat in the Infiniti Q50.
